A Yoga–Vedānta Immersion Study Tour to Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI) & Belur Math for students of IIT Kharagpur 26 October, 2025

A Yoga–Vedānta Immersion Study Tour was undertaken on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Belur Math, Ramakrishna Mission for 80+ research scholars & assistant And undergraduate students enrolled across various courses - “The Essence of the upaniṣad", "Evolution of Indian Education", and "Introduction to Indian Knowledge Systems"

The study tour offered participants an experiential understanding of the living traditions of Yoga and Advaita Vedānta through svādhyāya (self-study), reflective observation, and interactions with sādhaks and volunteers from RKMVERI, Belur Math.

A key highlight of the visit was an interactive question-and-answer session with senior monks, which provided valuable insights into Vedāntic philosophy, spiritual discipline, and their contemporary relevance. Participants also undertook a deeply introspective visit to the Museum, which showcases India’s spiritual, cultural, and educational heritage, including the lives and contributions of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and other luminaries.

The program included partaking of prasādam and attending the evening ārati at the main temple, an experience marked by a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

The immersion tour complemented the Centre of Excellence for Indian Knowledge System’s vision providing a meaningful connection between theoretical study and lived spiritual practice.
